With an establishing and more accessible mortgage market and low property prices compared to the rest of Europe, opportunities are opening up. The Sofia market is driven more by the locals who live and work there. With a new airport terminal and runway, it is gearing up for increased capacity of 2.6m passengers per annum and 26,000 tons of cargo traffic. Property prices have been experiencing capital growth of c.20%**, which could be sustained, if not stimulated further in the future, given the profile of the market.
