Wheres hot and wheres not
The forecast for investors is sunny in much of Europe, says Zoe Dare Hall. But heed our storm warnings
Turkey: What Istanbuls sprawling out-skirts lack in aesthetic appeal, they make up for in investment potential. For £25,750, you can get a flat in a tower block on the Asian side of the Bosphorus with a likely rental yield of 7% says Louise Reynolds, director of Property Venture (01932 849536, property-venture.com). The market on the Mediterranean coast has also remained largely cloudless ..
Poland: The largest of the EUs central European members, Poland is proud of being the only country in Europe not to have gone into recession. Although former hot spots such as Cracow have lost their lustre for British buyers, the local market is still keen, given the dynamic economy and inward investment. Property prices grew by 8% last year, says Louise Reynolds, of Property Venture, which has flats in the citys converted Lubicz Brewery from £64,000 (01932 849536, property-venture.com).
