Introduction
 Spreading the risk - it is interesting to read about other countries going through economic slowdowns but at different rates and times to that of the UK. Poland for example is still not in negative growth with estimates of GDP growth this year lowered to 0.2% from 3.7%. Cyprus, along with Poland are the only 2 EU states expecting growth in 2009.
All this does is re-iterate that when investing in property, spreading the risk is a good thing and this can sometimes mean investing in countries other than the UK, so a downturn does not hit all assets, at once and to the same degree.
