Costa Blanca and Jalon Valley Area

South of Alicante airport, the mountains appear, the countryside gets greener and the beautiful landscape opens up. The weather is warm enough to eat lunch outside for around 330 days of the year.

This part of the world is accessible from 3 airports, Alicante, which is about 100km away or an hour and 15 mins in the car, Valencia which is circa 125 km away or 1 hour 30 mins by car and Murcia, to the South, which is the furthest at 185km or 2 hours by car.

The Jalon (pronounced Halon) and Orba Valleys are situated midway between Alicante & Valencia. Both about an hours drive. The beach resorts of Moraira, Javea & Denia are twenty to thirty minutes easy driving. Or a twenty minute drive will take you into stunningly beautiful mountains, where on some days it is easy to believe that you are the only people on earth. Driving around the largely empty roads of the Jalon and Orba valleys you will arrive at a different village every four or five minutes. These villages are all quite different in appearance but very much the same when it comes to the welcome you will receive from our Spanish Hosts.

 The coastal resorts of Calpe, Moraira, Javea & Denia are a twenty to thirty minutes relaxed drive away. All have beautiful sandy beaches and have an upmarket feel to them. Denia has a street full of chic clothes and shoe shops that wouldn't be out of place in Bond Street 

Murla

Situated in the heart of the Jalon Valley, known for its almond groves and orange trees, rural vineyards, this part of the province of Alicante is a walker’s paradise.

To the west of the town lies the National Park of the Sierra de Mariola. Murla is surrounded by picturesque towns and villages that include: Benidoleig, Alcalali, Benigembla, Castell de Castells, Orba, Parcent, Tormos,  Xalo, and Lliber.

The scenery is breathtaking, with hills and extensive flora and bird life.
